The malaise that was 2020 continued into 2021, but there were many bright spots & silver linings this year too. A leap of faith taken at the start of the year changed my life forever and blossomed into something beautiful. Not even the stop-start restrictions kicking in throughout the year in the forms of Phase 2 Heightened Alert and Stabilisation Phase could throw a spanner in the works as we adapted and remained unfazed.

More joy & happiness came during the mid-year with promotions and pay rises abound and awards followed soon after. However, as the end of the year approached, a minor blip threatened to upset and mar all the positivity accumulated as I struggled with back-to-back virus infections. Fortunately I recovered enough just in time before the festive period.

Before the year wrapped, there was one last gift to cap off a fabulous 2021. Lady Luck shone the brightest and presented an early Christmas gift – our future home – even though it’s still many years in the making. Honestly if someone were to tell me at the beginning of the year that this was going to be how the year transpired, I wouldn’t have believed it. I’m blessed to have had 2021 panned out this way. Here’s hoping the momentum will continue into the new year.
