You know how there are watershed events that lead to floodgates being opened, I’m having one of those moments right now. It’s been a couple of months since I have steeled myself to make a switch and finally I’m making inroads. Honestly, it’s way overdue and despite all the positive momentum recently, I have been procrastinating quite a bit since I made that decision.
It looks really easy when you see your friends making the move but what isn’t usually heard is the sheer amount of effort and commitment it takes behind the scene. And now it’s my mettle being put to the test and to go all-in. The process hasn’t always been smooth-sailing but through failures, I have learnt where I can improve.
These experiences are priceless because no school can teach you that, and no one can handhold you through them. They are all the more invaluable as they are clearly not my forte. I guess the key is keep your expectations low, be humble and truthful so that even when you stumble, you pick yourself up, dust yourself off and continue running.
