Recess came early

Congratulations, you’ve survived Week 6 of Term 2.

Before the start of the school term, I envisioned a long road fraught with difficulties that laid ahead. And indeed it was. I practically spent the first weekend of school, in school, working on projects and such.

While individual workload was lightened, groupwork took up a greater portion of school life – meaning longer hours being spent in school. It is said that an average SMU student spends 7 to 10 hours in school each day. I didn’t quite believe this figure, until I became one myself.

These days, I’m spending more time in school than at home. And with an always on email connection, work inevitably spills over to personal time. The line separating work and play is becoming increasingly blurred.

Week 6 was a week of long-drawn battles, a cumulation of events that tested physical and mental boundaries. But thankfully, I escaped unscathed. “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.”

Thank God recess week came early. 6 down, 7 to go. You can do it.

Yong Chuan, glad that you survived! 🙂 Life at SMU is always hectic, but on the bright side, it trains you well enough for the future working environment. =D

Btw, Happy New Year! And you are so lucky to have no class next week! 🙁 I have a report to submit and presentation right after the LNY holiday! 🙁

  4. Happy New Year, Trang! 😀

Yup, that’s what I like about the SMU environment ‘cos it prepares you for the working world. I still have lots of presentations coming up after recess week though.

Jia You! You can do it too! 🙂
