The journey’s coming to an end

What began 5 months ago should have ended in September. But due to some case of bad planning and unexpected changes, everything got pushed back and here we are, 2 months later, finally putting an end to it. We’re just one step away, or should I say tens of thousands more.

The last major obstacle standing in our way is the 32km route march. But it isn’t just simple mindless walking – we’ll face a river and 10 target boards, that is crossing a water obstacle and range. It will no doubt be both physically and mentally demanding, but hopefully with a little determination and perseverance, we’ll all put through together.

I vividly recall that the fateful day 5 months ago when we were still fresh and new out of BMT, how much a shock we got when the training schedule was presented and we realized that we have to complete a 32 click march. How we wished the day would never come. But it’s here, just 2 days away. However, I am fully prepared now. I’m no longer afraid. So bring it on cos’ I’m ready.

Good luck dude, your 32km will definitely be more xiong than my 33 km because of the river and the range. Mine wasn’t that difficult due to a lighter field pack… You’ll complete it!

Now I’m posted back in Signal Institute. Commander of SI knows about my sad story (I missed my San Francisco trip for ThinkQuest because I didn’t have enough leave!), and he is kind enough to fight for me to stay here to do web design and projects 😛 I’m an admin spec now! Never thought I would have such a day…

I hope your trainings get lighter soon 😀

Thanks man! It was certainly no easy feat but I’ve pulled through! 🙂

Sad to hear that the commander didn’t allow you to make the TQ trip. Such a pity…But congrats on attaining your 3 stripes and getting a job that you enjoy doing! 😉
