Looking back at my 2023 resolution of staying healthier, I guess I kinda did slightly better last year as I didn’t fall sick as often or as seriously like the year before. I also resumed getting some regular exercise: a mix of running, swimming and tennis; though not as regularly as I’d like to, it’s still a start after a long hiatus.

This year, I aim to extend that streak by continuing to exercise regularly, sleep early and eat moderately. As I age and metabolism slows, it becomes imperative to turn exercise into a routine, get well-rested and watch what I eat to maintain a healthy mind and body. Stress and age are catching up faster than before, so I’ll have to work harder to keep up.

It’s gonna be a tough year with all that’s in store for 2024. But health, like time and tide, waits for no man. So like 2023, I’m still gonna prioritise a healthy lifestyle by putting in hours to exercise every week, get 7-8 hours of sleep daily and cut down on salt and sugar intake.
