There’s a Chinese adage that says “There’s no banquet that doesn’t end” and in the English-speaking world, there’s a similar albeit morbid equivalent in the quote: “Death is the only certainty in life”. But one way or another, even if one stands still, the world continues revolving.

After a decade of working together, we have reached the end of an era in many respects as a new one is dawning upon us. New changes abound as we are sunsetting systems and relationships amidst unspoken what-ifs should we have stuck to the status quo.

Change is the only constant in life as much as we resent it. It’s pretty much how the world moves forward. Disheartening as goodbyes may be, perhaps if we frame these departures in a more positive light where the old leaves as legends and the new brings brighter promises, we don’t see them as the end of a chapter but the beginning of the next.
