Three’s a crowd

They said becoming a parent is one of the greatest joys in life, and your lifestyle will take quite a drastic turn after attaining parenthood. I have to say they’re pretty right on this. But it’s usually due to this change of lifestyle that some choose to delay having kids because it disrupts their world of two.

I fully understand where they are coming from and commiserate with them on how introducing a kid early on in the marriage will quickly shift the centre of attention from each other to the child. Furthermore, it’ll only be years later after the kid has grown up before couple time becomes a thing again.

Some, however, have rejected the idea of parenthood altogether because they don’t want to compromise their lifestyles. Or that they feel that the world has become increasingly hostile and bringing another life into it is unnecessary. No matter the reasons, parenting is ultimately still a joint decision that couples have to make themselves.
