Here I am again, confronted by the same deliberation I met with three years ago, as I contemplate about life after SMU. For many, the choice is pretty clear. The eventual road for me, however, looks as uncertain as before.
I’m just a couple months shy of finishing my coursework in SMU, and this is, in fact, the opportune window to start seeking employment. Unlike many of my peers who go on to become corporate professionals, I’m unsure if I’d go down this path.
After the past three years in business school, it should be fair to say that I should have a good sense of what I want to do; but honestly, I come away feeling less than inspired about the corporate world.
Eight years ago before college admission; six years ago before NS enlistment; and three years ago before university enrollment – each time, I chose practicality over ideals.
What shall it be this time?
