Or not. The last time I sat for a final paper – Year 2006 – that’s about 3 years ago. Of course, the pressure was much greater then, but the first major exam after a long hiatus, that’s gotta be a different feeling altogether. 13 weeks of academia had come and gone, but there’s still one last hurdle to overcome before the term ends.
I remember a friend once told me: grades may be important, but relish the learning experience too. The dilemma? You can’t have your cake and eat it too; sometimes it entails giving one up for another. Well, exams, on the other hand, are a whole different ball game. In my opinion, it is the time to make amends, play catch-up and make a difference.
Grades to me aren’t really important. An A only proves that I’ve better understood and applied what I’ve learnt than the majority while a C just shows that there is still room for improvement. So, unlike many students, I don’t mug day and night or work overly hard. As long as I’ve done my revision diligently over the course of the term, I don’t see the need to worry.
