Know Your Rights

[]

In the corporate world, when you’re ignorant and green, people tend to take advantage of you. So, the least you could do to protect yourself is to learn your constitutional rights and not be on the losing end of the deal. But whether it’s a genuine mistake or plain deceitfulness, without looking at the full picture, it’s difficult to tell the motive or purpose of such shenanigan.

While a cohesive society is built on integrity and transparency, a healthy and harmonious relationship is founded on trust and honesty. However, attempting to employ underhand means to take advantage of this trust sours the relationship. Not only do such actions introduce an element of distrust, it could jeopardize the success of future dealings.

From young, we are taught that honesty is the best policy. Applying the same principle, we have to be truthful in such situations than engage in duplicity. But when you resort to skirting regulations with the intention to mislead, you’re toeing the line between black and white. While it may be in the best interest of the general population, it just goes to highlight how unethical and low-down one organization has to get to achieve its ends.
