The worst time for rain to hit is from late afternoon into the evening. Of course, if you’re under shelter and safe from the elements, it wouldn’t really matter when it pours. But when you’re out in the open, the feeling just kinda sucks because it’s close to dinnertime, the sun is setting and you’re going to be left shivering in the cold when night falls.
Your equipment are wet, your boots are muddy and you’re at risk of being struck by lightning because you’re like a sitting duck in the open field. What’s more when the antenna of your signal set stretches out into the sky acting as a lightning rod. It’s miserable when you know that elsewhere, your friends are resting somewhere under shelter while waiting for the rain to stop.
And it’s even more depressing when you realize that the first mission has yet to start and that your defending location isn’t the primary objective. So, at the end of the day, to further compound on your misery, you will learn that you’ve waited in vain and your efforts have come to naught. Well, c’est la vie.
