Absolute power corrupts. When there’s someone of the higher authority around, the only thing to do is to dutifully give him the answer he wishes to hear. Because most of the time, there’s no point arguing over the matter as you’re the party that loses out in the end.

This is all part of politics and it’s happening everywhere. If you have no place in the company, you’re simply treated as dirt. But this is life and life is unfair. That’s why people desperately try to climb up the social ladder in order to get a higher standing because it gives you power. And power, is everything.
