What promises to be an exhilarating and thrilling week turned out otherwise. Everything was going so slow and boring me to tears that I swore I thought it would never come to an end. Monday and Tuesday were not worthy of mention as we did area cleaning most of the day. The only highlight came when we marched a couple of rounds around the parade square as punishment.
Fortunately, there was some activity buzz on Wednesday that managed to keep us entertained for a while. As our first evaluation loomed on the horizon, our excitement grew. Thursday was D-day. We waited from 2am to 8am before we actually set off. *Yawning*
As we reached ground zero, we were immediately deployed to our area of operations. Much to my disappointment, for the rest of the day, one group saw dramatic action in the rainy weather while the other simply slept the day away. I was in the latter group obviously. Disillusioned and dismayed, we left without achieving anything.
But luckily, Friday made up for my low morale. We were given some time before book out to visit the Army Open House exhibition and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience with my friends. It was definitely well worth the visit! 😀 At least the week wasn’t spend in vain.
